I'm an antique dealer, which basically means I'm a peddler. I love this business, the hunting perpetually for a great 'find', the chatting with all kinds of people, the selling, ( which to me, is sharing the joy of the 'find') and of course the profit (which assumes I didn't make a stupid purchase so there is one). I got the "Antiques Roadshow" onto American T.V. Not alone of course. That was a biggie, but I hope there will be more feathers to come. I work with my dear friends Karen Augusta and her husband Bob Ross at their auction house (hence the blog) and I also work on this blog with my life long best friend Gillian Farrell. I sell on Ebay as well. And very most importantly, I got to be the mother of my precious daughter April.
Augusta Auction Company is America's top specialty auction house for vintage fashion and textiles. They represent museums, historical societies, universities and other institutions auctioning museum de-accessions & patron donations of textiles, clothing & fashion accessories.

She has curated or acted as consultant for many costume and lace exhibits in the United States and has appraised collections for public institutions and private collectors throughout North America. Now she assists collectors and institutions with her fashion sales four times each year.
She is a member of The Costume Society of America and The Textile Society of America and serves as a fashion and textile appraiser on the popular PBS series, Antiques Roadshow.
